The Women's Professional Racquetball Organization (WPRO) has confirmed that Paola Longoria has regained the #1 ranking after her win over Rhonda Rajsich in the final of last weekend's Terrapin Shootout. Rajsich is now #2.
Jo Shattuck and T. J. Baumbaugh have moved up, as Shattuck is 7th and Baumbaugh is 8th, which we believe is a career high for her. Jennifer Saunders has dropped back to 11th.
Three events remain on the 2009-10 WPRO schedule: the Miller Lite Open in York, Pennsylvania April 9-11, the Racquetball Warehouse Championships in Stockton, California April 22-25, and the finale the WPRO Ektelon World Championships, which is a Grand Slam event, and will be held in New Orleans May 6-9.
Three events means there are many points still available, so the rankings could change considerably before season's end.
