WPRO - Terrapin Shootout QFs & SFs

It'll be 1 vs. 2 Sunday in the final of the Terrapin Shootout in Laurel, Maryland on Women's Professional Racquetball Organization (WPRO) tour, as top seed Rhonda Rajsich plays 2nd Paola Longoria. They have swept through the opposition, winning each of their matches in three straight games and yielding only 35 and 33 points over 9 games respectively.

Saturday in the semi-finals Rajsich defeated 5th seed Jo Shattuck, 11-2, 11-5, 11-0, while Longoria beat 3rd seed Cheryl Gudinas 11-1, 11-4, 11-3. Earlier Saturday in the quarter finals Rajsich had her closest match of the tournament against Krystal Csuk, but still prevailed in three games, 11-7, 12-10, 11-4. Longoria defeated fellow Mexican Samantha Salas Solis in the quarters, 11-2, 11-8, 11-4.

Sunday's final will be the 4th time Rajsich and Longoria have played this season. Longoria has won the last two matches between them.

With less than 33 rankings points between them, Sunday's winner will also be the #1 WPRO player in the next rankings.
