There were only three matches in the Round of 16 for women's doubles on Wednesday at the XXV Pan American Championships in Temuco, Chile, and the higher seeded teams won all of them.
But one match did go to a tie-breaker as the home team of Chileans Carla Muñoz and Maria Paz Riquelme needed three games to defeat the Guatemala team of Marie Gomar and Maria Rene Rodriguez, 7-15, 15-9, 11-5. The Chileans will play the top seeded Mexican team of Paola Longoria and Samantha Salas on Thursday in the quarter finals.
The elimination round runs through Saturday in Temuco and runs through Saturday. The Pan American Racquetball Confederation (PARC) is streaming matches live via their website.
