The top seeds in men's singles all successfully reached the quarter finals at the XXV Pan American Championships in Temuco, Chile. Defending champion and #1 seed Daniel De La Rosa of Mexico defeated Teobaldo Fumero Adams of Costa Rica, 15-5, 15-4 in the Round of 16 early on Thursday, while on the other side of the draw Canadian Vincent Gagnon beat Junior Rodriguez (Dominican Republic), 15-4, 15-12.
The anticipated match between current Junior World U18 Champion Carlos Keller of Bolivia (the 5th seed) and a Canadian Champion Mike Green (4th seed) is on, as they won their Round of 16 matches. Keller defeated Mexican Misael Leija, 15-5, 15-2, and Green beat Honduran Servin Cruz, 15-3, 15-2.
The men's singles quarter finals will be later on Thursday in Temuco with the semi-finals on Friday and final Saturday. The Pan American Racquetball Confederation (PARC) is streaming matches live via their website.
