LPRT - Puget Sound Challenge - Hughes wins in 16s

Grace Hughes was the big winner in the Round of 16 at the Ladies Pro Racquetball Tour (LPRT) the Puget Sound Challenge in Seattle, as she upset 5th seed Susana Acosta, 11-7, 9-11, 11-8, 11-5. Hughes will face 4th seed Kerri Wachtel in the quarter finals, as Wachtel defeated Linda Scales, 11-7, 4-11, 11-6, 11-8.

Cristina Amaya also had a good win on Friday in the 16, as she defeated Samantha Salas Solis in five games, 2-11, 11-8, 9-11, 11-5, 11-3. It wasn't an upset by the seedings, as Amaya was 8th seed and Salas Solis 9th, but Salas Solis has been as high as #3 on the women's pro tour, so it seems like an upset.

Amaya will play top seed Paola Longoria in the quarters. Longoria defeated Sheryl Lotts, 11-8, 11-8, 11-2, in the 16s.

The quarter finals and semi-finals will go on Saturday and final on Sunday. There will be live streaming from Seattle via the LPRT Network.
