Number one plays number two in the final of the International Racquetball Tour (IRT) Florida Spring Break tournament in Tampa, Florida, as Kane Waselenchuk, the IRT's #1 player, and Rocky Carson, IRT #2, will meet in Sunday's final after winning their respective semi-finals Saturday.
Both Waselenchuk and Carson won their semis in three straight games against opponents who were surprise semi-finalists. Waselenchuk defeated Tony Carson, who was playing in only his second semi-final, 11-9, 11-3, 11-1, and Rocky Carson - no relation to Tony - defeated Charlie Pratt, playing in his first career semi-final, 11-4, 11-3, 11-7.
Over the past six seasons, Waselenchuk's lost only two completed matches, and neither to Rocky Carson, who does have some victories over Waselenchuk in that span due to injury. However, Waselenchuk's declared himself fully fit, so Carson's task on Sunday is a formidable one.
The IRT Network will have the final action live Sunday at noon EDT.
