Kane Waselenchuk, winner of six International Racquetball Tour (IRT) events this season, has regained the #1 position in the latest IRT rankings, moving ahead of previous #1 Rocky Carson, a three time winner on tour this season. Waselenchuk had dropped out of the #1 position as a result of missing some events due to injury late last year. He’s occasionally had vestibular issues during his career, and was beset with them late in 2014.
But Waselenchuk’s fully fit now, and has won the last three IRT events. There are three more singles events on the schedule - the Shamrock Shootout (March 12-15), Stockton Pro-Am (April 30-May 3) and ProKennex Tournament of Champions (May 14-17) - along with a doubles event in Long Beach April 9-11.
The rest of the top 10 rankings remain the same. In fact, there isn’t a change until the 17th position, which Tim Landeryou has moved into ahead of Cliff Swain. Also different is Alejandro Herrera’s appearance in the top 20, as he’s now 19th.
The next IRT event is the Shamrock Shootout in Lombard, Illinois March 12-15.
