IRT - Florida Spring Break First Results

The qualifying rounds for the Florida Spring Break Pro-Am tournament, part of the International Racquetball Tour (IRT), have reached the final round and there are no real surprises yet. But there have been some close matches.

Specifically, there have been three five game matches in the second round of qualifying. In a battle of young Americans David Horn defeated Allan Crockett, 11-6, 10-12, 10-12, 11-6, 11-5. Horn will playoff with Ivan Villegas for a place in Friday's Round of 16 later on Thursday.

The other 5 gamers were won by Florida players, as Joe Linnell beat Geoff Goldblatt, 11-4, 8-11, 9-11, 11-6, 11-5, and Mike Harmon defeated Travis Aldinger, 11-4, 11-6, 8-11, 2-11, 11-6.

The IRT Network will begin web-casting Florida Spring Break matches beginning Friday at 11:30 AM EST with Round of 16 matches.
