WPRO - 2011 SCS Title & Escrow Pro-Am Round of 16

There have been two upsets on the bottom of the draw at the Women's Professional Racquetball Organization (WPRO) 2011 SCS Title and Escrow Pro-Am tournament in Herndon, Virginia. In the Round of 16, Christie Huczek defeated third seed Cheryl Gudinas, 11-6, 11-7, 11-1, and Cristina Amaya beat Jennifer Saunders, 11-5, 11-4, 12-10.

Huczek will next play Adrienne Fisher, who beat T. J. Baumbaugh, 11-9, 9-11, 11-5, 12-10, while Amaya will take on Rhonda Rajsich, who was a winner over Anita Maldonado, 11-0, 11-7, 11-1.

There was also an upset on the top side of the draw, as Susana Acosta defeated Krystal Csuk, 11-6, 11-2, 11-6, to create an all Mexican face off, as she'll meet #1 seed Paola Longoria, who beat Linda Scales, 11-3, 11-6, 11-9.

While the other two matches on the top side were won by the higher seeded players, both 4th seed Samantha Salas Solis and 5th seed Kerri Wachtel needed five games to fend off their opponents. Salas Solis beat fellow Mexican Nancy Enriquez, 11-5, 2-11, 2-11, 11-4, 11-7, while Wachtel defeated Angela Grisar, 11-3, 11-13, 11-6, 9-11, 11-1.
