Susana Acosta won the women's open division at the 2011 SCS Title and Escrow Pro-Am tournament in Herndon, Virginia. Acosta defeated Krystal Csuk, 15-7, 15-14 in the final to take the title.
Acosta seeded 2nd, defeated Kimberly Irons in one semi-final, 15-11, 15-9, while top seeded Csuk beat T. J. Baumbaugh, 15-1, 13-15, 11-3, in the other.
Longoria Ninth All Time
With her win on the weekend, Paola Longoria, the #1 ranked Women's Professional Racquetball Organization (WPRO) player, further solidified her position among the winningest women racquetball players.
She's won 14 times on the WPRO, putting 9th all time (according to The Racquetball Blog's unofficial records). But her winning percentage in the finals is 58.3% (14 wins in 24 finals) and that's 4th all time behind only Lynn Adams (71.7%), Shannon Wright (76%) and Michelle Gould (an astounding 97.6%).
With her next victory, Longoria will move into a tie for 8th all time with Christie Huczek, who's won 15 career titles.
